” If one person can do something, anyone can learn to do it.”
What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP as it is widely known, is a simple skillful method for studying what goes on inside a person ( subjective experience ). NLP is about how the brain works, how people think, feel, learn , motivate themselves, interact with others, make choices and achieve realistic goals. NLP is an approach to communication that produces the widest range of choices and the ability to change in order to achieve desired results.
How it works?
By identifying language patterns and observing non-verbal behavior, we can become aware of what mode of perception (visual, auditory or kinesthetic) that we are using (as unique as fingerprints) and discover how we receive, filter and organize sensory information into the cognitive-perceptual patterns that result in emotions and behaviors.
How is it useful?
With these skills, an individual can usefully organize and re-organize his or her subjective experience, as well as have the opportunity of accompanying others while they usefully organize and reorganize their subjective experience. A pre-supposition in NLP is that the more choices and possibilities we become aware of and make available to ourselves, the more we will be able to fulfill our desires.
|Neuro||The neuro-chemical response creating the internal sensory response and its resulting behavioral modification (external).|
|Linguistic||Learned digitalization (words that trigger neuro-chemical responses).|
|Programming||Structure, re-structure and utilization of syntax (verbal and nonverbal) to increase useful choices of behavior.|
